Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has confirmed the launch of 2 new schemes – Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) and Grahini Suvidha Yojana (GSY). MYSY Scheme will increase self-employment opportunities for the youth and will boost entrepreneurship with a total budget of Rs. 80 Crore. GSY Scheme will appear in women empowerment and also a pollution free environment in HP with an outlay of Rs. 12 crores.
The state govt. In its cabinet meeting has supported these schemes as published in the Himachal Pradesh Budget 2018-19. For Yuva Swavalamban Yojana in HP, govt. Will call online registrations on the official website of HP govt. Or through a dedicated portal.

To register for the scheme online, you can quickly log on to the official website. The official website offers students with convenience to get registered online for a scholarship program. The Himachal Pradesh government begins the scheme with an intention to give financial relief to students and employees who belong to middle and lower class (EWC). It is inevitable that after the implementation of the scheme the government has set the budget of Rs 1000 crore that will be allowed in the state under the MYSY scheme.
The essential features and highlights of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana are as follows
- All the jobless youngsters between the age group of 18 to 35 years are available under this scheme.
- Jobless Youths will get the subsidy of 25% on machinery on investing Rs. 40 lakhs in the industry for their resources.
- Jobless women will get the subsidy of 30% on machinery on investing Rs. 40 lakhs in the industry for their resources.
- On Loans up to Rs. 40 lakhs, govt. Will give an interest subsidy of 5% for three years.
- Govt. will lease its land to the youths on rent at just 1% rate.
- The govt. will decrease the stamp duty from 6% to 3% on the purchase of land.
- This scheme will ensure that adequate self-employment possibilities are generated in the state to overcome the unemployment problem. Moreover, each youth will be self-sufficient and will become a job creation rather than a job seeker. The state govt. Has made a plan of Rs. 80 crore for the successful implementation of this scheme.
- The Himachal Pradesh Government is expecting that this government scheme will help the youth to open new job opportunities. Under this scheme, the unemployed youth will get self-employment with the financial help of government.
Himachal Pradesh Grahini Suvidha Yojana
The essential features and highlights of Grahini Suvidha Yojana are as follows
- HP govt. will implement security amount to get a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) connection and a gas stove to the low-income families.
- All those families in the state who does not possess the LPG Gas Connections and are not covered under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will be covered under Himachal Pradesh Grahini Suvidha Yojana.
- The primary objective of this scheme is to provide LPG Gas connection facility to all the low-income families for at least 2 years.
- HP govt. has created a budgetary provision of Rs. 12 crores for the implementation of this scheme.
- Govt. also increases the honorarium of officials of Panchayati Raj Institutions. The honorarium for Zila Parishad chairman is increased from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 11,000 and other members from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 4,500 per month. Moreover, the anganwari workers will get an honorarium of Rs 4,750, anganwari workers will get Rs. 2,400 and mini anganwari workers will get Rs. 3,300 p.m.
